A re-education of the New Zealand
education system

Voices of young learners are being heard across Aoteoroa,
in a nationwide attempt to reset the education system that is failing some of our kids.

Kōrero Mātauranga was set up as a way to start a wider conversation with the New Zealand public about our education system, asking them What is working? What is not working? What needs to change? Here is some of what people said.
Illustrations are of a wide diversity of young learners, designed to accompany anonymous quotes of the feedback that was collected from the Nation wide education conversation. Ranging from early learning, primary through to secondary and on to parents and whānau. This work was a small part of much wider consultation work. The Lineart was drawn with a ink brush pen and scanned into photoshop and using the Kōrero Mātauranga brand colours with a watercolour application.
